  5. - Introduction- This initiative – Desert without Blood – comes under the guidance and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority to curb against the numerous and continuous accidents that are caused by recreational dirt bikes during the camping season here in Dubai. These incidents are one of the main causes of fatalities between UAE national youth, and the main cause of permanent and irreversible injuries.

  7. «الطرق» تدعو أصحاب الدراجات الترفيهية إلى تسجيلها هيئة الطرق والمواصلات اعتمدت لائحة تنظيم استخدام الدراجات النارية الترفيهية وتطبيق عناصر الأمن والسلامة في مواصفات الدراجة، واشتملت اللائحة على 15 مادة فيما يلي بعض منها : Published Article by the RTA: The Roads and Transportation Authority calls all recreational dirt bike owners to register their recreational dirt bikes , to ensure safety aspects of the vehicle are applied as follows:

Registration of the recreational dirt bike must be mandatory with regular servicing and checkups. • The recreational dirt bike must pass all safety aspects in the registration procedures. • recreational dirt bike must have an original and unmodified engine. • recreational dirt bike license plate must be visibly placed • recreational dirt bike must be equipped with front and back lights for safety measures. • Registration documents must available with the owner or driver of the recreational dirt bike. • The owner of recreational dirt bike must sign pledge commitment to agree with all safety procedures.

Copy of the National ID must be provided at registration. • Two way (Full coverage) insurance must be accompanied with the registration documents. • Owner of the recreational dirt bike must pass the official rules and regulations and safety test. • Engine capacity must be at 50, and not surpass 25 Km speed for drivers under the age of 8 years old.

  10. For drivers aged 8 – 15 years must drive recreational dirt bikes with 50 – 90 engine capacity, with a maximum speed limit of 25 – 80 Km. • For drivers over the age of 16 years the engine capacity must be 90 and the speed starts from80 Km. • Only one passenger must be on the recreational dirt bike. • Driver of the recreational dirt bike must wear a helmet and protective gear while driving.

  11. ضبط 437 دراجة ترفيهية مخالفة خلال 9 أشهر في 2010 كشف مدير الإدارة العامة للمرور اللواء محمد سيف الزفين عن ضبط 437 دراجة ترفيهية مخالفة خلال الأشهر التسعة الأولى من العام 2010، داعياً الآباء إلى عدم المخاطرة بحياة أبنائهم من خلال شراء الدراجات الترفيهية لهم، مؤكداً أن معظم سائقي الدراجات الترفيهية بمختلف أعمارهم لا يلتزمون السلوك السليم أثناء قيادة الدراجة Dubai Police confiscates 437 recreational dirt bikes during 9 month in 2010 for not abiding by safety rules and regulations.

  12. - Law- His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, issued a regulatory law with regards to the use and licensing of recreational dirt bikes; where it is prohibited to drive, rent, of purchase any recreational vehicle without prior registration from the RTA and licensing for trading in such vehicles. In addition the RTA will be the responsible part with regards to registration and licensing of any purchases and trading with recreational vehicles, and applying of all safety rules and regulations.

  13. 164 دراجة نارية ترفيهية مسجلة في دبي بلغ عدد الدراجات النارية التي سجلتها مؤسسة الترخيص التابعة لهيئة الطرق والمواصلات منذ بداية العام 2010 وحتى شهر نوفمبر الماضي ‬164 دراجة بمعدل تسجيل 15دراجة نارية في الشهر.وشجعت الهيئة تسجيل الدراجات النارية عن طريق تخصيص أرقام مميزة للدراجات الترفيهية وحث محبي ممارسة هواية ركوب الدراجات النارية الترفيهية، الذين لم يلتزموا بنظام استعمال وترخيص الدراجات النارية الترفيهية، على المسارعة إلى تسجيلها، للحفاظ على الأرواح والحقوق، وتجنب سلبيات عدم التسجيل، ومنها عدم وجود شركة تأمين تتحمل المخاطر.
