What is ICDL? • The International Computer Driving License (ICDL) is a program of training and testing that certifies students have attained basic technological literacy • It is designed for the 93% of students who will not be IT professionals. • It is easy to implement, easy to manage and very cost-effective. • It is recognized by tens of thousands of employers, universities and government entities worldwide.

  5. Worldwide Stats • Began in Finland in 1993. Quickly spread to Sweden, Switzerland, Norway and Ireland. • Formalized in 1997 as European Computer Driving License (ECDL) ICDL Test: • Today, over 3.25 million candidates seeking certification in 144 countries • Over 15 million tests given in the last 5 years
