  2. Summary of Mississippi trial,1995 • The Mississippi Trial is a very moving book that shows the struggles of African-Americans during the mid-1900's. This book shows that everyone is equal and that we should accept and enjoy our equality because the idea was not always present in American minds.

  3. Hiram comes down south to visit his grandparents but decides to stay to help his grandpa after his grandma dies. Hiram finds out the town he left is not the same .things have rapidly changes. He soon a black teenager from Chicago who is also visiting for the summer. Emmett is murdered • For supposedly flirting with a white woman. We all know why, it because he was black .Hiram thinks it was R.c and decides to tell on R.c but this does not sit well with the neighborhood because Hiram is whit and he is helping out a black man. That’s what I can tell you about the book and I erg students to read it

Question and Answer • Question #1: Where does the story take place and what time period? • It takes place in 1995 Mississippi and the time period is when the civil right movement is starting. • Question #2: Why do you think R.C killed Emmett? • I think it was just because Emmett was black. • Question #3: Do you think R.c would have got away with this in 2010? • No, I think we have a more fair and non racial court system now.
