  3. Whatisthe PDA Assessment? The PDA Assessment is an individual and group Self-Awareness instrument that allows us to: • Know the natural behavioural style of individuals and teams • Know how to relate better with others • Better understand how to communicate with others and what motivates them

William Marston Marston developed an instrument/methodology to know and understand "oneself," the behavioural profile (Natural Profile) of individuals, integrating: several theories and concepts: Behaviour is a function of the individual in response to his or her perception of the environment.

  7. Perception Perception is a deep psychological process related and intermingled with our history, experiences, memories, current situation, that is, it is related with our self. Perception is the way in which we receive, individualise and interpret the world around us.

  8. Perception Perceptions are not an objective reality; people tend to create their own reality.

Self-Concept Theory The idea about ourselves Based on this, Marston considers that: "individual behaviour" is in part determined by the interaction between the Self-Concept and the constant adjustments made in response to the demands of the environment. • Marston affirms that human beings, since birth and until they turn 16-18 years of age, develop a relatively specific and stable perception of themselves as a result of their experiences. At the same time, individuals develop certain expectations of what they believe the environment demands of them.

  11. Self-Concept Theory Hence, people tend to behave consistently with what they believe to be. ...with the PDA we say: "You tell us who you are" "...what your behaviour will be" and we will predict

  12. Self-Concept Theory "Individuals will accept and assimilate those ideas that are consistent with what they believe to be and will reject the ideas that are inconsistent with what they believe to be"

Semantics Through his studies, Marston concluded that the interpretation each individual gives to each word is related to their perception.As we have seen, each person perceives the world differently and according to their “self” (their Self-Concept). This means that, according to their “self” (Behavioural Profile), each individual will give positive or negative connotations to the words they read.

  14. BehaviouralProfile IMPORTANT: There are no good or bad behavioural profiles. Individuals, according to their behavioural profile, will have to make more or less effort to carry out certain tasks, roles or respond to certain responsibilities.
