  3. Due to the lack of oxygen and the presence of acids, many things are preserved in peat bogs.

  4. Bog Bodies found in peat bogs give archaeologists more understanding of the past and ways of life.

  5. It is believed that they are portals into the next life and that they are inhabited by God’s or Ancestral Spirits.
