Be prepared to make short-term adjustments to a business to better position it for continued growth and potential future sale. Competition in the accounting industry is fierce, and they need tried and proven ways to grow an accounting practice. There are solutions to the challenge and they involve being innovative enough to gain a competitive edge. Begin by building on existing clients. New business is frequently generated by references from existing clients. By strengthening existing client base, they encourage loyalty to a business. Take the time to research and learn more about their clients and their needs. They will build a stronger relationship with clients if they sincerely understand their challenges, goals and objectives.
