  3. George Frideric Handel • Born in Halle Germany • 1685-1759 • Famous pieces are his messiah • He produced operas • He ate and drunk a lot and had a quick temper • Never got married and had no children

  4. Joseph Haydn • Born in Austria • 1732-1809 • Famous piece is father of the symphony • spent much of his career as a court musician • one of the most celebrated composers in Europe • He was also instrumental He was also instrumental
