Year 13 Online Learning Day

On September 2012, students will participate in an interactive online learning day focused on creating Facebook-style profiles for significant historical figures from the Tudor period. Students will research and complete a profile for figures such as Thomas Cromwell, Henry VIII, Thomas Cranmer, and others. Outcomes will include completed profiles enhanced with illustrations appropriate for the School Website. Some students may also add historically accurate information while ensuring a consistent writing style. This project aims to engage students in history through creative expression.

Outcomes • All will have completed a Facebook profile of a significant figure from this year’s Controlled Assessment • Most will have added illustrations to make the profile suitable for adding to the School Website • Some will add extra details that are historically accurate and maintain an appropriate style of language

  5. This is your status update page. Use it to add icon images relevant to your chosen historical figure. Think about what they would be doing during an historical event and add updates!
