3. Wind Introduction Our research is about wind energy. Over the past ten years, wind turbine uses has increased at more than 25% a year. Still it only provides a small part of the world’s energy. 6. Cost Effectiveness Of Wind Energy Wind energy is the 4th least expensive form of energy in our whole world. Wind turbines cost $ 1.5 million to $2.2 million each ,and makes up to $600 a month in energy. They need a lot of room so they don’t hit each other and break . 7. Usefulness of Wind Energy In The World Wind has many uses and provides a small part of the world’s energy. We use wind for electricity, water pumps, sports, car, races, ships , and boats. Additional Facts Wind blades • Wind turbines can have up to 15 blades, but it is recommended to have 3. • When there are a lot of wind turbines, it is called a wind farm. • When blades are spinning it is called furling. • When the blades hit max speed, a computer tilts the blades and makes them catch less wind and slow down. • Blades come in many shapes ,sizes ,and forms.
