  2. The Winds From His Treasure One of God's wonders of nature is the wind. Wind is used in scripture as a picture of the Holy Spirit.

  3. The Winds From His Treasure We have witnessed the wind: from the gentle breeze, to the gale, to the whirlwind, to the most violent hurricane winds.

  4. Hurricane Winds 175 MPH

  5. Destruction of Hurricane Winds

  6. God's Treasure Chest God speaks much about the wind in His Word!

  7. Jeremiah 51:16 (NKJV) 16 When He utters His voice— There is a multitude of waters in the heavens: “He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; He makes lightnings for the rain; *He brings the wind out of His treasuries.”[a]

  8. God's Treasure Chest When God speaks of His treasures, they are the things of valuethat are stored until the time they are needed. He speaks of His treasures of the wind.

  9. God's Treasure Chest The wind is not the only thing God has in His treasury. Job also spoke of God's treasures:

  10. God's Treasure Chest "Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail?" Job 38:22

  11. God's Treasure Chest God also has snow and hail in His treasures. God will use all His treasures, as it becomes necessary, to demonstrate His great power, authority, and majesty to those who inhabit the earth. The Psalmist wrote:

  12. God's Treasure Chest "Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling His Word." Psalm 148:8 “…stormy wind fulfilling His Word."

  13. God's Treasure Chest God has His treasure house full, and He uses this stored treasure to fulfill His Word.

  14. God's Treasure Chest The prophet Isaiah spoke of another treasure: "And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel." Isaiah 45:3

  15. God's Treasure Chest The word darkness means "the place of obscurity", the secret place in God". The place where the natural eye cannot see but the spiritual eye wants to see.

  16. Some of God’s Treasures • “the wind out of His treasuries.” • treasures of the snow • treasures of the hail • Fire • hail • vapour • stormy wind fulfilling His Word." Psalm 148:8 • I will give thee [ Oral Hazell ] the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name”

  17. God's Treasure Chest To understand how God uses the wind, we need a knowledge of the two aspects of the wind. 1. First, there is the natural or physical characteristics of the wind.

  18. God's Treasure Chest 2. Secondly, there is the Spiritual characteristics of the wind. OneSpiritual characteristic of the wind is that it represents God's judgment.
