Solon History. In 1818 Amos Treat Hall settled in Aurora. . In 1820 the Bull and Robbins families came and settled in the Western Reserve. In 1825 Solon was named after Lorenzo Solon Bull. In 1822 schools started. In 1830 churches and stores could be seen in the center of town.

  2. In 1818 Amos Treat Hall settled in Aurora.

  3. In 1820 the Bull and Robbins families came and settled in the Western Reserve.

  4. In 1825 Solon was named after Lorenzo Solon Bull.

  5. In 1822 schools started.

  6. In 1830 churches and stores could be seen in the center of town.

  7. In 1867 the Red Brick School House was built.

  8. In 1857 the railroad came through Solon.

  9. In 1877 the Hoodlebug Railroad connected Solon to Chagrin Falls.

  10. In 1900 the town hall was built.

  11. In 1915 the Metroparks were created.
