  2. Introduction • What is the Enterprise’s background and culture? • How was the Enterprise company service concept? • How the Enterprise company grow? • Competition for the Enterprise company?

Background • Enterprise Rent-A-Car began life in 1957 as a leasing company in St. Louis. • It was relatively successful operation, it wasn’t until the 1970s that the business took off. • ERAC become a major player almost overnight, and rapidly grew to a 10,000-vehicle fleet by 1977. • By 1993, ERAC began serving Canada and competing internationally.

Culture • This company has one particular culture is the only hire college and professional person. • This company has only requested the outgoing social skills person, such as president of the brotherhood or leader of the sorority. • The also have another kind of culture is in charge, regardless of any class must accept the basic training, and even CEO Andy Taylor use a vacuum.

  5. Service concept • Andrew Taylor of three important from of the marketing strategy: 1. He let the customer can be convenient to rent the car, like you can pick up the vehicle whenever you like or what kind of the vehicle is your favorite. 2.He also let the customer can choose a suitable place for vehicles. 3.He give the customer good price for rent a car.

Growth • The enterprise CEO believe the growth rate of the local rental will more than airport rental. • They specialize in only the local market strategy, so the airport's market each year only from 3% to 5%, but the local market every year from 10% to 15%. • CEO also believe that double-income families can also help progress the market. • When they opened the new place, they will treat it near the garage, because they believe that the recommendation of the garage will repair the customer is very convincing

Competition • Enterprise will face many of the competition like a traditional airport car rental, such as Hertz 、Avis、Budget and National companies. • The most influential on the market at the local car dealers, because when the customer need maintain their car  they will give their own maintenance of vehicles to customers.

  8. questions • How has Enterprise Rent-A-Car (ERAC) defined its service differently than that of the typical national car rental company? • What features of its business concept allow ERAC to compete effectively with the existing national rental car companies?

  9. The first question • Enterprise car rental car rental company offers a perfect supporting services. 1. They give the customer has good price to rent a car. 2. There are different car classes to choose from, to respond to the needs of different place. 3. They let the customer can choose wherever and whenever they want to pick up the car. 4. They also offer free shuttle service, transfer to the home, office or business is the service garage.

  10. The second question • This company has five business concept is a special need for the another companies to follow-up . 1. They head to any one class must have to accept the basic training. 2. They only accept outgoing and who have strong social skills to be their employees. 3. They always put the customer first. 4. They will make good friendship with the local Auto repair factory. 5. Their most important point is that they will spend a lot of money in recruiting, hiring and training on their staff.
