STS Programs Elsa Dixon Aboriginal Employment Program (EDAEP) 2012-13 Subsidises the salary costs of Aboriginal employees in a public service agency or local council, and funds innovative community projects that create education, training and employment opportunities for Aboriginal people The Permanent Employment element provides a one-off twelve month salary subsidy (65%) to support the permanent employment of an Aboriginal person in a NSW public service agency or local government authority

STS Programs Elsa Dixon Aboriginal Employment Program (EDAEP) The Temporary Secondment element subsidises the salary cost of a temporary position (up to twelve months) that will provide a significant skill development opportunity for an Aboriginal person who is already permanently employed in a NSW public service agency or local government authority The Career Development element subsidises the cost of a training and/or development activity for an Aboriginal person employed in a NSW public service or local government authority

STS Programs Elsa Dixon Aboriginal Employment Program (EDAEP) The Partnership Project element funds community-based projects that have the potential to create education, employment and training opportunities for Aboriginal people, and The Graduate Work Experience element subsidises the salary cost of a work experience placement for an Aboriginal person for a maximum of twelve weeks, during or just after their final year of a degree or post-degree course

STS Programs Elsa Dixon Aboriginal Employment Program (EDAEP) New element for 2012-13 The School-based Traineeship element subsidies the salary of a school-based traineeship in a NSW public service agency or local government authority. It provides an opportunity for an Aboriginal school student to complete a qualification as part of their HSC

STS Programs Apprenticeships and Traineeships Provide an effective way to train and induct new people Improve productivity of new workers Effective way to bring Aboriginal people into the workforce Training funded by NSW Government Wage assistance for employing an Aboriginal person Financial incentives for statutory agencies and local government Free mentoring
