  7. THEREFORE… • If we add the prefix “thermo” (temperature) to dynamics…we get thermodynamics.

  8. In our study of climate, we will find that BAROMETRIC PRESSURE is a better projector of weather than temperature!

  11. OROGRAPHIC OR RELIEF Air rising over a mountain or suddenly encountering a cold surface results in sudden condensation.

  13. CYCLONIC OR FRONTAL The colliding of edges of contrasting air masses result in condensation as air rises

  14. CONVECTIONAL

  15. CONVECTIONAL Air rises due to different heating of an area of the earth’s surface
