  2. Questions • What is the home range of a raccoon? • How far do raccoons travel? • Does temperature affect raccoon movement? • What habitats do raccoons prefer? • Do raccoon territories overlap?

  3. Introduction • Two male raccoons were radio collared • Radio Telemetry was used to track them • Raccoon home ranges were determined using ArcView and Animal Movement Analysis • Territorial habits were analyzed using collected data

  4. Radio Telemetry Equipment Antenna is used to pick up Radio signals.

  5. Radio Telemetry Equipment • Receiver is to show how strong or weak the signal is. Also shows how far away the animal Is.

  6. Radio Telemetry Equipment • GPS is used to track your coordinates and allows you to mark way- points that you want to save. Compass to tell direction
