  1. 5, Nay6Things You May Not Have Known about PowerPoint • A quick review on some of the tools that you may NOT be using that are certainly worth considering. • By: Jason Barnett

  2. These Tools Are… • Outline • Pen • Motion Paths • Transparency • Save as Web Page • Package for CD

  3. Outline • The Outline layout of PowerPoint allows for quick and easy creation of presentations. • Press Enter to create a new slide or bullet point. • Tab demotes an item • Shift + Tab promotes an item

  4. Pen The PowerPoint pen tool gives every presenter the opportunity to do their very best John Madden impression. “Boom” this tool really adds impact to an interactive presentation.

  5. Motion Paths • Motion paths are a very simple way to add “spice” to your presentation and are limited only by your level of creativity. • Motion paths allow for a user to customize the way that an object enters or exits the presentation.

  6. Transparency Adding transparency to objects in a presentation is a great way to “highlight” images or text. This handy feature has virtually unlimited uses, but is especially useful used to make text really “pop” when on backgrounds that make it hard to read.

  7. Save as Web Page PowerPoint allows for saving presentations as web pages. This excellent feature provides a convenient method for distributing your presentation by transforming it into a full-featured web site complete with navigation panel.

  8. Package for CD Like the “Save as Web Page” option, PowerPoint provides yet another way to easily distribute a presentation to others. This handy option bundles your PPT with the free PowerPoint Viewer.
