Transform Food Waste into Fresh Produce with Hello Compost

Hello Compost empowers working-class communities to exchange food waste for fresh produce. Founded in 2012, our composting service collects food waste using freezable, odor-blocking bags. These bags are sent to Project EATS, a New York-based nonprofit promoting urban agriculture. The waste is weighed and assigned a value that translates into credits for local, farm-grown fresh food. Through an innovative app, Project EATS tracks progress and fosters a spirit of competition among families, making sustainability engaging and rewarding.
