  2. What modes are we using? • We will be in Indonesian mode. You will be penalised using English, and rewarded for using Indonesian! • TIP: Don’t forget body languageor pointing at different objects to support your language.

  3. Firstly… • You have been given a sheet. Write here! Ask Ibu for any random phrases you would like to add!

  4. Preparation • Find some extra phrases to add to your list • Ask Ibu any last minute questions. • If you have already done so, find someone to practice with while you wait.

  5. The Activity • Music will be playing, and you will walk around the room in organised chaos. • When the music stops, you must grab the nearest person and the person with the darker hair will be the first seller. • You will be given 1.5 minutes to give as much information as you can . After this, you will swap roles. • At the end of the 3 minutes, you will be exchanging points. Write your judgment onto the person’s sheet. If they speak English do not give them full points! • Music begins, we start again!

  6. Points System 1 point • If the person maintains use of Indonesian, even if it is only simple words, e.g. “biru”, “Rp. 12 000”, “apa?” • If they use English more than once – they should not be receiving more than 1 point! 2 points • Using the language available on cheat sheet 3 points • Using lots of Indonesian • Using lots of expression when speaking
