The International Association of Maritime Economists (IAME) is an international forum for the exchange of research and information among those interested in maritime and maritime-related issues.  Membership is drawn from all continents and representation includes academics, industry and government. IAME’s purpose

  5. IAME newsletter The IAME publishes a quarterly Newsletter prepared by the Editor, Dr Jan Hoffmann. The Newsletter is distributed electronically and is available on the website. Each issue is stored in PDF format which can be accessed if an Adobe Acrobat reader is installed on your system. Articles or news items for possible inclusion in the Newsletter should be directed to the Editor at ENews@iame.info

Publications IAME members receive subscriptions to two journals, Maritime Policy and Management and Maritime Economics and Logistics.  In addition to receiving hard copies of these journals members can access them on-line.    Access is password protected and is strictly restricted to paid up members.   Username and password can be obtained from the Secretariat at secretariat@iame.info

  7. Membership • Membership of the IAME includes researchers, operators, investors, government officials  and policy-makers.  The IAME is an international forum for the exchange of information and views among specialists in maritime and maritime related areas.  In more recent times, with the development of integrated supply chains and logistics, membership has expanded to include specialists in maritime related and supply chain areas. • It is possible to apply for membership online. A full list of fees can be found on the online membership application form.

Summing up • John Dowden and I would very much like to see closer links between the two organisations. • The IAME council is keen to support such links/co-operation. • The purpose of this brief presentation is to raise awareness of IAME and to explore ways in which such future co-operation might be effected.
