This update on the Anode Power Supply project, reported by Ryan Crawford on August 20, 2014, highlights several key issues affecting the schedule. The project is currently four weeks behind due to panel problems, with a commitment to ship the diode bridge by September 12. Although components like all diodes, spacers, and capacitors are on-site, delays in PCB delivery and buss bar issues could impact timelines. Additionally, the original water-cooled resistor design has been scrapped in favor of a more durable solution. The team is actively pursuing alternatives to ensure project success.

Anode Power Supply Update 8/20/2014 Ryan Crawford
Enclosure • 4 weeks behind schedule • Panel issues (bad paint, bent) • Promise to ship by 9/12
Diode Bridge • 14 bare sticks built up • Waiting on PCB to complete all 14 legs • 36 required for 2 supplies and 1 complete spare • PCB should arrive by 9/5 • All diodes are on site • All spacers are on site
Capacitors • 38 capacitors on site, 40 ordered • One frame is nearing completion
Misc. • All PTs on site • Heat exchangers on site • Buss bar has issues • May cause slight delay • May have enough good pieces to finish one supply • We will know once the other two skids arrive • Working on water cooled resistor • Original design was scraped due to longevity concerns • Redesigning with flanged fiberglass tube • Looking into commercially available option
