  1. HPES EBooks! We are so excited to announce that we now have EBooks! These will run on any device that has access to the internet or is on WIFI! Please make sure any desktop or laptop has Adobe Flash Player. These EBooks will be accessible to any student at anytime! INCLUDING WEEKENDS AND SUMMERS! Happy Reading!

  2. Accessing HPES EBooks Step 1: Go to our school website Step 3: Click on Huntington Place http://huntingtonplaceelementary.tcss.net http://www.tcss.net/Domain/26 (PLEASE GO TO THIS ADDRESS WHEN ON THE BYOD WIFI AT SCHOOL) Step 4: Click on Catalog Step 2: Click on HPES LIBRARY CATALOG

Step 5: Click on the drop down arrow beside ‘Material Type’ and click on Electronic Book Helpful Hint: Any time you see the blue book with an e, you know that this title is NOT on the bookshelf, but is an eBook. You can read it from any computer or device that has an internet connection or wifi from anywhere. Even during the summer! Step 6: Click on Show All to see all available titles. When you see a title you would like to read, just click on the title.

  4. We purchased our eBooks from two different companies; ABDO and Capstone. The ABDO books are simply EBooks, meaning they are not interactive and do not have the capability to read aloud to the students. The Capstone books are mainly interactive and will read aloud to the students. There is an audio off option if desired. AR information is here. This title is an ABDO book. I can find that information here. To begin to read an ABDO eBook, you need to click on ‘Click here to access’ If you happen to get this Security Warning, please click ‘NO’.

To begin to read a Capstone eBook, you need to click on ‘Read the Capstone Interactive eBook Now!’ These will run on Ipadsand other devices with internet. Make sure any desktop or laptop has Adobe Flash Player.

  7. This is what a Capstone eBook looks like. Click the play button to start the book. Click here to change the pages. If you do not want the book’s audio to work, just click ‘Audio On’ to off.
