HRTC Activities as of 07/15/2012 Recent Conference Performance Accomplishments • Conducted Hybrid Design Short Course at 2011 JPC • Organized 9 Sessions with 39 papers at 2012 JPC • Organized HRTC Student Meeting at 2012 JPC • Conducted HRTC Steering Committee Meeting in June 2012 • Submitted Aerospace America Year-End Article • Published “Fundamentals of Hybrid Rocket Combustion and Propulsion” in 2007 • Selected Best Paper and Best Student Paper awards at 2011 JPC • Hybrid related e-mail updates provided to HRTC members JPC 2012 Abstracts Received:39 Abstracts Accepted: 39 Sessions: 9 Withdrawals/No-Shows: TBD Issues / Help Needed • HRTC website needs improvement • Increase formal membership in HRTC Initiatives & Plans Financial Status and Other Activities • Evaluate Hybrid Design short course and determine when to offer it next • Encourage papers that address cost / benefit comparisons between hybrid and liquid/solid propulsion • Encourage liaisons between other committees • Organize a successful 2013 JPC • Continue Student HRTC Meeting • Currently $9075.03 in HRTC account
