On September 30, 1999, a significant breakout session on Satellite TV Content Issues took place in SLC, led by industry experts Michael Childers of Lightstream and Linda Palmer from Disney. The session addressed key topics such as content licensing, advertising models, and editing practices for airlines. Rich Salter, board member of WAEA, organized a steering committee to discuss these pressing issues, with ongoing collaboration among content and service providers.
