  1. Installing Eurex Shutters Storm Panels CA CA CA CA CAUTION UTION UTION UTION UTION: You must wear protective gloves when handling panels. Storm panels are heavy and are treated with a protective oil coating and my have Allergic reactions. Additionally, the storm panels have SHARP corners and edges. Use extreme care when handling at all times. Installation and removal should be done by a competent adult. 1-800-226-0026 Step One: For doorways, you must first install the bottom track at the bottom of the doorway. The bottom track for windows are already in place. Next, carefully slide the bolts into the track chamber into position. Two story homes will require proper ladders and equipment. Step Two: Carefully slide each panel up in to the top track as you line up the hole at the bottom of the panel with the bolts. Secure with wing nuts. Place each additional panel by overlapping as you slide up each panel. Step Three: Tighten each wing-nut bolt firmly and snugly by hand. Be sure not to overtighten the bolts. (Do not use a power tool to tighten) Each wing-nut bolt should be firmly in place so the panels do not rattle. Removing Storm Panels: Carefully follow the reverse of installation. Your storm panels are marked in accordance with the plan on the backside of this laminated sheet. Eurex Shutters recommends that you install all panels before hurricane season starts to familiarize yourself with the installation. Be sure all hardware is available and secure, placed in a plastic bag inside your home, in a safe place. Remember the location of your hardware. INSTALL EARLY in the event of a storm. Depending on your home and physical capabilities, it may take 1 or 2 days to install. PLAN EARLY if you use the services of a competent installation person.
