SAME Mission, Vision and Values • The Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), the premier professional military engineering association in the United States, unites architecture, engineering, construction (A/E/C), facility management and environmental entities and individuals in the public and private sectors to prepare for—and overcome—natural and manmade disasters, and to improve security at home and abroad.

  13. Scholarships • Have a high school or college student? • Cincinnati Post awards up to $3,000 annually to deserving students • Applications due at the end of March • Parent or student must be a member of SAME Cincinnati Post

Education & Mentoring • Have a high school student interested in construction or the military? • Annual Military Construction Camps (Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps) • SAME sponsors students and provides assistance with air fare and registration fees • Trying to obtain your engineering licensure? • SAME provides financial assistance to help you get your P.E. • STEM Program with Local Schools • Assist Taft Elementary with Robotics Lab • Create STEM Scholarship Program (Goal of $1 Million fund)

  25. Why Be A Sustaining Member? • SAME Sustaining Memberships offer your company the opportunity to network with industry leaders in the public sector and uniformed services. Sustaining Member-only events, such as the annual Federal Programs Briefings featuring the Engineering Service Chief from each military branch, provides timely information about upcoming projects and contract opportunities. • Your Sustaining Membership includes six openings for individuals as your member representatives. (SAME requires that two of those representatives must be in its Young Member category, age 39 or younger). • All six representatives will receive all the benefits afforded them as an SAME member including a subscription to The Military Engineer magazine, discounts on attendance to SAME events including the Joint Engineer Training Conference & Expo, and access to the members-only section of the SAME website. Your principal representative and Young Member representative also will receive a copy of the annual SAME Directory of Member Companies and Public Agencies.

Why Be A Sustaining Member? • In addition, SAME Sustaining Member Representatives are encouraged to participate in one of SAME's many Councils or Committees--from Small Business to International to Environmental to Readiness & Homeland Security--to provide their leadership and expertise in shaping the goals, direction and outcomes of the specific topics being addressed. • If you are an existing member and would like to renew, please visit: http://www.same.org/ • Though SAME Sustaining Members do not pay local post dues, they are required to be affiliated with a local Post.
