Alaska ESMP • Alaska ESMP is based on WRAP policy • Developed in conjunction with Alaska Wild Land Fire Coordinating Group • Plan developed over several years • On-going testing and refining of the approach • Still developing land clearing and agricultural sections • Implementation is occurring for wild land burns • Plan to incorporate ESMP in Regional Haze SIP

  4. 2005 Fire Emission Report • ESMP requires an annual report of emissions from fire • Alaska does not have a computerized tracking system • Contracted with Air Sciences for assistance in generating first report for 2005 • Includes wildfire, wildfire use, prescribed fire, and agricultural burning (permitted fires) • Event and Daily Fire Emissions Inventory • http://www.airsci.net/adec/2005ei/index2.html
