  1. Space the finalfrontier By: Marie Bristol

  2. Inner planets • The inner planets are mercury, Venus, earth, and mars. • The inner planets are the planets closest to the sun. • The planets are all rocky planets. • We are not really able to live on all of them except earth because earth has the best atmosphere for different things to live.

  3. The outer planets • The outer planets are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. • All the outer planets are gas-giants. • Saturn is the only planet with a ring. • The outer planets are not suitable to live on.

  4. Earth Earth is were we live it is the planet were things can live. It’s a rocky planet that is mostly water. The atmosphere is mostly oxygen. That is why we are able to breath and live on earth.

  5. Earth’s surface • Earths surface is rocky and has mountains and hills. • 70 percent of the earth is water and the atmosphere is mostly oxygen. • The earth surface is hard and inhabits many different animals and plants. • ANIMALS , plants, and water have changed the earth surface for many years. So have the people. • 30% OF EARTH IS LAND. EARTH’S CRUST IS BROKEN INTO MANY PLATES KNOWN HAS TECTONIC PLATES. • THE EARTH WAS FIRST A LAND WITH VOLCANOS AND NO WATER THEN IT WAS SOON FORMED INTO A PLACE WERE WE ARE ABLE TO HAVE A PEACEFUL DAY IN THE SUN AND ON THE LAND.

  6. MARS SURFACE Mars is a planet that scientist are studying to see if life is on it. They have found traces of ice and possible life but they are not sure. The atmosphere on mars is rocky, and the atmosphere is so thin that its effects are dust storms. Mars surface was completely different billions of years ago.

  7. Mars surface Continued • There is water erosion on mars from an old stream that the believe is now frozen. • They believe that sand dunes crawl across the surface of mars. • Mars surface is heavily cratered from asteroids (meteors) hitting it harshly. • Shield volcanoes like on Hawaii on mars, and lava flows freely from them. • Mars is said to have a surface like a dessert on earth. • they have found a fossilized iguana on mars.

  8. Curiosity mars rover • The mars rover was made to find out if there was life on mars or if its suitable to live on. • Launched last November curiosity landed on mars august 6th at 1:32 am. • Curiosity is investigating Martian terrain and collecting data. • Curiosity has been a groundbreaking adventure showing technology that advances are knowledge of space. • THE MARS ROVER HAS BEEN SCAILING A HILL ON MARS. THE HILL IS CALLED “SOLANDER POINT”.

  9. How mars and earth are alike Mars and earth are alike because they are in are solar system. They each have a rocky surface, and are inner planets. People could get used to the length of mars days. There is possible life on mars like there is life on earth.

  10. How earth and mars are different • Mars temperatures are colder than earth and is dustier. • Mars has two moons and earth has one. • Earth has tectonic plates and mars does not. • Earth can support life and mars might be able to.

  11. Thanks for watching!
