This leads to reduced plate thicknesses of Duplex Steel S31803 Flanges being used in fabrications reducing the weight which is of particular significance in items such as storage tanks, structural applications such as bridges and pressure vessels. This amalgamation of properties in Duplex Steel S31803 Pipe Flanges can mean a number of compromises when compared through pure austenitic & ferritic grades. Duplex Stainless Steel UNS S31803 Flanges has lower thermal expansion and higher thermal conductivity than austenitic stainless steels. UNS S31803 Duplex Steel Flanges also demonstrates worthy fatigue strength, along with outstanding resistance to strain corrosion cracking, destruction, general corrosion, crack and pitting in unadorned environments. In the annealed condition, Duplex S32205 Flanges contains approximately 40-50 % ferrite. Duplex S32205 Pipe Flanges cannot be hardened by heat treatment but stronger surface strengths can be achieved by cold working.
