  2. Change our 2morrow We have to take action TODAY to change our TOMORROW Time to Reduce our CARBON FOOTPRINT

  3. HOW??? Make a pledge TODAY to do simple things to reduce energy use and conserve energy!

  4. WHO MAKES PLEDGES? Kulshan Middle School Staff made pledges last fall through Puget Sound Energy’s “Cool School Challenge”. Kulshan Staff made pledges to reduce their carbon footprint by 20,000lbs! You can find our commitment on the “Cool School Challenge” website: http://www.coolschoolchallenge.org/whos-cool.aspx

  5. Kulshan Middle School Students made pledges through Puget Sound Energy’s “Powerful Choices” program where we calculated the impact on water and heating costs if we limit our showers to 5 minutes!

  6. Alcoa Employees Make Pledges • Alcoa employees are partnering with Kulshan Middle School students and our families to get the word out to our community that we can “Change Our 2morrow”! • For every one of the 600 students at Kulshan, there is an Alcoa employee who has the opportunity to take a pledge and support us.

  7. What Part Does Alcoa Have? Alcoa has made a partnership with the Make An Impact PEW Center for Global Climate Change to make it easy for communities to participate in Change Our 2morrow (CO2).

  8. It’s Your Turn Now! Individually we can make a difference, but together, we can Make an Impact!

  9. Take the Home Energy Audit Every Energy Audit and Pledge Counts! We’re trying to complete as many as possible! Light Bulbs Dishwasher Faucets Air Conditioning Water Heater Washer & Dryer Toilet TV & Entertainment Heaters Recycling Shower

  10. Take the Home Energy Audit Requires that you ask your parents some questions as well as explain what you are doing.

  11. Today in the KMS Library We’re going to check out the website today, and we’re going to take the pledge… This is the same pledge you can show your parents, friends and family… because every pledge counts!

  12. Thank You Gifts! Students who participate today will leave the library with a small thank you gift for participating. and… Qualify to win one of several prizes in drawings to be held in each science class, simply by taking an energy audit with your parents at home!

  13. Verification of Participation IT’S SIMPLE. Student prints the screen that shows verification of completion and turns it in to their science teacher… OR Parent/Guardian signs the Energy Audit Completion Verification Form.
