Class “A” Commercial Driver License This program will allow a driver to operate Tractor trailers defined as any CMV  (Combination Motor Vehicles) with a GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) of 26,001 or  more pounds. The gross weight of the vehicle includes the tractor, and trailer  combination.  Class B Commercial Driver License This program will allow a driver to operate a CMV of a total CVWR up to 26,001  pounds. Typically, straight trucks with no trailer attached or called also bobtails.  Class B­P Commercial Driver License (Non­restricted) This program will allow a driver to operate a transportation vehicle of 16 or more  passenger (not including the driver) in a single vehicle. (E.g. school bus, chartered bus,  tour bus, Greyhound)  Class “A” Commercial Driver License Refresher Program If you are a qualified truck driver with an up­to­date CDL class A license, you may need  to take a refresher course if you have been off the road for some time. This is a  requirement for most of the trucking companies before they will hire you. Or if you got  experience driving tractor trailers in another country you may need to take a refresher  course in order for you to be able to pass the driving test.  Finance
