Demonstrative Adjectives Ch.9-3. Demonstrative adjectives are used to demonstrate which person, place or thing that you are referring to. There are three sets. All are restrictive adjectives which means they are placed in front of the noun they modify AND they must agree with the noun.

  2. Demonstrative adjectives are used to demonstrate which person, place or thing that you are referring to. There are three sets. All are restrictive adjectives which means they are placed in front of the noun they modify AND they must agree with the noun.

  3. This These Masc. este estos esta estas Fem. These are used when you are referring to something near the speaker.

  4. That Those Masc. ese esos esa esas Fem. These are used when you are referring to something near the listener.

  5. That Those Masc. aquel aquellos aquella aquellas Fem. These are used when you are referring to something at a distance from both.

  6. Examples This shirt is less expensive than that shirt. Esta camisa es menos cara que esa camisa. That book is better than this book. Ese libro es mejor que este libro. I like this car more than that car. Me gusta más este carro que aquel carro.
