  3. STUDIES Miquel Barceló studied in the Felanitx’s High School. He continued his studies in the “Arts School” of Palma. He ended his studies in the “Sant Jordi Art School” in Barcelona.

  4. He wasonlysixteenyearsoldwhen he madehisfirstexhibition in “La Caixa” from Felanitx

  5. Hisfavouriteartist isVincent van Gogh

  6. HIS FIRST ART He begantoworkwith boxes, that he exibed in the Mallorca Museum, in 1976. In these boxes we can seethedescompisition of eggs, brains, flowers, birds…

  7. THE TRAVELS In 1989 Barceló wentto Mali and anotherafricancountrieslookingfornewsthemesforhis art.

  8. ILLUSTRATIONSThrough this journey in 1992, illustrates the book by Paul Bowles called “Too far from home”

  9. AWARD PRINCIPE DE ASTURIAS In 2003 he received the “Principe de Asturias” prize for arts, one of the most important awards of Spain.

  10. LOUVRE MUSEUM In 2004 he exhibited at the Louvre museum his watercolous of the Divine Comedy, becoming the first living artist exposes in the museum .

  11. OUR CATHEDRAL In March 2007, was opened in Mallorca Cathedral, the Chapel made by him on clay.
