What type of student should take APEH • Sophomores encouraged-juniors/seniors welcome. • Those students looking to challenge themselves academically and be exposed to a true college-prep environment. • Students who are interested in history… • Students who read at grade level with solid content comprehension. • Students who want to build upon their analytical/persuasive writing abilities.

  3. What your student will experience in APEH… • Survey course of over 600 years of European/world history • Political, economic, religious, social, intellectual, artistic • Emphasizes the use of critical thinking skills • Class debates, informal debates and mock trials • Significant practice at persuasive and analytical writing • 12-16 Free-response and document-based essays • Timed, on-demand writing experience

  4. College Credit • Course exemptions at SOME universities with passing score on AP Exam • 88% passing rate, 48 % of which score a 4 or higher (scale: 1-5).
