  1. Illegal Immigration By Shane Bruni & Dom Bendinelli

  2. The High Cost of Illegal Immigration • Before We share with you why illegal immigration is a problem in the US, we thought you should watch this video that thoroughly describes the biggest problems of illegal immigration. This video is called “The High Cost of Illegal Immigration” Created by Fair Federation. • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8lLU7XjcWc • To watch this video you have to copy it and paste it into the address bar on internet explorer.

  3. The Effect Illegal Immigration Has on The Economy Illegal immigrants are taking jobs away from American citizens. In October 2008, the illegal immigrant population stood at 11.9 million according to the Pew Hispanic Center. To make a living in America you have to have a job, so I'm assuming that most of these 11.9 million illegal immigrants have a job. This is causing MILLIONS of American citizens to lose their jobs. The illegal immigrants also work for less money and are willing to work harsher conditions so they are more appealing to hire than actual American citizens. According to theeconomiccollapseblog.com It was estimated that there were approximately 7.7 million illegal aliens employed by U.S. employers during 2008.  How much better would our economy look if all of those jobs were being filled by American workers?

  4. Most illegal immigrants don’t pay taxes. The Effect Illegal Immigration Has on The Economy Imagine every illegal immigrant not paying their taxes, which could be true. If all those 11.9 million illegal aliens are getting away without paying taxes, than we are paying taxes for them. They are receiving tens of billions of dollars worth of free education benefits, free health care benefits, free housing assistance and free food stamp benefits. Try to invision how much better the economy would be by adding that 10 billion back in.

  5. The Effect Illegal Immigration Has on The Economy According to theeconomiccollapseblog.com, California's overstretched health care system is on the threshold of failing.  Dozens of California hospitals and emergency rooms have shut down over the last 10 years because they could not afford to stay open after being endlessly flooded by illegal immigrants who were simply not able to pay for the services that they were receiving.  As a result, the remainder of the health care system in the state of California is now beyond overfull.  This had led to viciously long waits, preoccupied ambulances and even unnecessary patient deaths.  Sadly, the state of California now ranks dead last out of all 50 states in the number of emergency rooms per million people.

  6. The Effect Illegal Immigration has on Crime Some of the most brutal criminals at large today are illegal aliens. Yet in cities where the crime these aliens commit is maximum, the police cannot use the most evident tool to arrest them: their immigration status. In Los Angeles, for example, dozens of members of a ruthless Salvadoran prison gang have sneaked back into town after having been deported for such crimes as murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and drug trafficking.

  7. Causes of Illegal Immigration Surprisingly, some of the people that cross the border illegally are bribed to come here. According to nexbis.com Tyson Foods inc. was indicted for conspiring to smuggle illegal aliens into the U.S. To work at the companies chicken processing plants. Some organizations even provide illegal immigrants with high quality counterfeit documents, such as social security cards, birth certificates, and even utility bills. So it’s not all their fault, we have to put some of the blame on ourselves.

  8. Causes of Illegal Immigration Another reason all these people come here illegally is because they want a better life. Some of these people have families and want to chase the “American Dream”, and I’m okay with that. I think these kinds of people should be allowed to cross the border but some people come here for selling drugs and doing other illegal things just to make money. These kinds of people are the reasons why illegal immigration has become such a big problem today. So what could be some solutions to this problem?

  9. The Illegal Immigration Enforcement and Social Security Protection Act of 2011 This bill says they will arrest and deport any illegal immigrant. This bill will decrease the amount of criminal activity in the US. Statistics show that in 1980 only 9000 criminal aliens were in correctional facilities, that number reached 267,000 in 2003.Another purpose of this bill is to target employers who hire illegal immigrants. These employers are just as responsible for illegal immigration as the immigrants themselves. We believe that if this bill was made into a law more American citizens will have jobs that were not working before, which will also help the economy.

  10. After researching Illegal immigration I have realized how much of a problem this really is. After sharing the problems illegal immigration is causing, the causes of Illegal immigration and some solutions to fix this problem hopefully you have realized that we need to do something about this. Most of these people are bringing in drugs and causing more crime than the US has ever witnessed. "A 1997 study by the American Academy of Sciences found that the cheap labor of illegal immigrants and poor immigrants caused a 44% decrease in wages among the poorest Americans from 1980 to 1994."(Center for Immigration Studies). "If immigration continues at current levels, the nation's population will increase from 301 million today to 468 million in 2060 - a 167 million, or 56% increase.(Center for Immigration Studies).

  11. Illegal Immigration By Shane Bruni & Dom Bendinelli After completion of our Civic Action Project on Illegal immigration, our final hopes for what happens are that the Illegal Immigration Enforcement and Social Security Protection Act of 2011 will be looked at and eventually turned into a law. If this does happen it will stimulate the economy, create more jobs for American citizens, and reduce the amount of criminal activity. As a whole this Bill could make the US a much safer place, and a much better place.
