A Word On Heilion The flag of Heilion flies high representing bravery, devotion, and sacrifice. To the inhabitants of Heilion, it reminds them of the creation of their world. Elrhú, the creator wiped clean the old war-torn world, creating things anew. His most trusted warrior, Aoyos, battled deep into the heart of the world to find the Heart of Elrhú, returning it to his master at the cost of his own life. Upon awakening, Elrhú’s newly created people witnessed the ground stained with the golden glory of their maker.
Qaylev Qaylev’s archetype is the Hero. He is courageous and determined. The finest warrior living, Qaylev is also a skilled tactician and leader. His great esteem among the leaders of his land belies his humble origins. Qaylev is the son of a shoemaker.
Ularoth Ularoth is brilliant, cruel, and cunning. His archetype is the Shadow. Ularoth is an ancient being. He was Battlemasterfor Umdek Boloron, the last king of the Boloron Dynasty. Ularoth wants nothing more than to rid Heilion of Elrhú’s latest creation and reclaim all of his former power.
Niva Niva, a lowly scholar in the High Temple of Elrhú, carries the role of Herald. Niva discovers the weakness that the Grove of Elrhú contains. She presents this weakness to the king, who calls forth Qaylev to reclaim the lost Grove of Elrhú.
DaxMoriel DaxMoriel represents the archetype of Mentor. Dax is a wily woodsman who has lived near the Grove of Elrhú all of his life. He is able to educate Qaylev about the area surrounding the Grove, and show him the way to overcome the Draghem forces.
Chiho Chiho, a devious Draghem, fills the role of the Trickster. Outcast by his kind and befriended by the Sons of Bayos, Chiho has sworn to lead their party safely through the armies of Ularoth to the Grove of Elrhú. Chiho, an unusual Draghem, has a flair for making Qaylev’s companion’s laugh. During his time, he served as court jester for a colonial baron.
Anangi Anangi, though a daughter of Etia, descends from a long line of priests of the Draghem. She represents the Shapeshifter. Anangi uses her youth and gender to fool Qaylev and his warriors into believing she’s there to help. Anangi’s only motive is to deliver her unsuspecting followers into the hands of Ularoth himself.
