Metalinguistic skills • The suggested activities of awakening languagesenable the pupils to be aware of certain « form - properties of languages (propriétés formelles des langues considérées), and trough a « bypass » logic, of the form of the L1 • The manipulation of unknown (not familiar) languages improves the different metalinguistics skills (metaphonological skills etc. skills)

  4. To RELYTo relying a competence from one language/culture to approach another language/culture.

  5. Logic of by-passDiscovery of languages that are not familiar, focus on formof these languages, induction of « an attentive and reflexive disposition  » to the language phenomena awareness of the characteristics of the L1
