  3. Malachi: Crumbling Pillars • Honored God with lips, not heart • Wanted God’s blessings, not commands or guidance • Unfaithful in their marriages • Unfaithful to God in their finances

  4. Malachi 2:14-15 • Why isn’t God pleased? He knows that each of you has been unfaithful to the wife you married. You promised that she would be your partner, but you have broken that promise. Didn’t God create you to become like one person with your wife? And why? It was so you would have children, and then lead them to become God’s people.

  5. Marital Faithfulness • Promise • Loyalty (become one person) • Responsibility (to lead them)

  6. Malachi 3:8-10 • You are robbing me of the offerings…that belong to me. That’s why your whole nation is under a curse.I am the Lord and I challenge you to put me to the test. Bring the entire ten percent into the storehouse, so there will be food in my house. Then I will open the windows of heaven and flood you with blessing after blessing.

  7. Financial Faithfulness • Kingdom Priority • Frugality, Industry, Generosity • Contentment not Consumerism

  8. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich (2 Corinthians 8:9).
