It is now at par with the reversible lightning plug of apple. This makes it a hit for most people. The USB-C is linked to some powerful new technologies such as USB power delivery and Thunderbolt. Another reason why the USB-C is becoming popular is that the ports are built on a second-generation 3.1 USB data-transfer standard. This can deliver data at high speeds of up to 10GB per second. This is twice as fast as the past 3.0 and the first-generation USB 3.1.
