How to Locate Your House on Google Maps • Google Maps is a service of Google Inc. • On this website, users can get directions, locate places, and features that your just can’t find on a paper map. • Pretty much every point on the earth is mapped on Google Maps • Users have the option to use a normal map layout or satellite image.

  3. Step One Look outside your house and become familiar with your surroundings (ex. street corners, landmarks, bodies of water, etc.) You should know your address or street location before you use the website.

  4. Step Two Go to www.maps.google.com OR Go to www.google.com On the black taskbar on the top of the page, click on “Maps”

  5. Step Three Once on the website, type your full address or street location into the search box right next to the Google logo on the top of the screen Your house should come up. If it doesn’t, use your surrounding area to locate your house.

  6. Step Four Once your house has been located, now you can play around with Google Maps. You can confirm your house by clicking on satellite in the top right corner of the map. You can click and drag the orange figure on the left side of the page to see Street View.
