Homework • Refer to the weekly newsletter for that week’s homework (emailed on Mondays, on website) • Give your child a comfortable, well-lit area for homework completion • Read the directions with or to your child to confirm understanding • Allow your child to work independently, and then answer questions • Allow your child to sound out words and write the sounds that they hear for each word • Developmental spelling is appropriate for this age level • It is a step towards correct spelling • Known sight words should be spelled correctly • Please read with your child! Read aloud and listen.
