  2. Facts • Jim Crow laws segregated everything and affected how everyday life was. • Jim Crow laws put up signs such as White Only or Colored to enforce segregation. • The Jim Crow system was supported by local government official. (Pbs)

  3. Facts • The first Freedom Riders segregated lunch counters and movie theaters of their city (Nashvil) without using violence. • Since the Freedom Riders were able to desegregate their city (Nashvil) without violence, they wanted to spread their skills among the south. (A brief history)

  4. Facts • The Freedom Riders was a group of black and white people that got together to challenge Jim Crow’s Law of segregation. (a brief history) • They began their ride in Washington dc and ended it in Jackson Mississippi. • In the beginning the freedom riders didn’t meet much resistance but later on received many beatings from angry mobs. (Pbs) • Near the end they met another angry mob. One of them threw a fire-bomb inside the bus and cause it to burn down. Everyone was okay. (a brief history)

  5. Reflection • The most interesting thing about my piece of research would have to be that the freedom riders knew all of the consequences that would of happen but kept doing what they believes was right. • My research enhance my understanding of Jim Crow laws in the south because it show how serous it was back then. • The people in the bus didn’t do anything. But since there were black’s and white’s in the same bus everyone else had a problem. • I decided to organize my information by explain a little about Jim Crow laws first. Then I showed facts about how Jim Crow laws was the reason the freedom riders were formed.
