Art/DT- ongoing 1hr per week Outcome-Chn to plan and create their own inventions from school based problems eg a new lunch box/ flask to keep food hot/ multipurpose gardening tool. • Literacy • Stories with historical settings (3wks) Girl and Robot - Literacy Shed (chn to write story using clip as inspiration) • Stories that raise issues or dilemmas (3wks) Inventor McGregor (chn to write own story with issue/dilemma) • Biographies/autobiographies (2wks) (chn to write autobiography of an inventor) • Poetry (2wks) - riddles/puzzles (chn to write a riddle about an invention) • Science - ongoing • Conduct investigations, record and analyse results (maths link). • Air resistance in the context of • Animals • planes and flight. • Man-made/natural materials- waterproof materials etc. (construction of own inventions DT link) PSHCE WWO and SEALs – getting on and falling out. Incredible Inventions 11 weeks PE/Dance: Yr 4: 1 session a week. Victorian team games. Yr 3 swimming all year Other PE lessons will be covered by external coach. Outcome : INVENTION CONVENTION!
