  2. Rice is the main food in china. It takes a lot of work 1.there are over 1billion people to feed 2.if there was 1 person in china farming would still be a lot of work. Farmers are really respected in ancient China.

  3. Wok • A wok is a metal pot or pan with a curved bottom. Woks are used to heat food. Woks take in the heat with carved bottoms that makes it easy to cook. Woks also fry, stew and steam food. Woks usually heat up food.

  4. Steaming and Heating • What’s steaming is it a regular pot or a wok? It could be a wok or a regular pot. If the steaming is faster it’s a wok, if longer it’s the regular pot. If you’re in a rush steaming is a very hard thing to do.

  5. Tea • Tea a is very important to china. There are lots of kinds of tea. The most popular kind is green tea.

  6. Swan-Neck Hoe • A long time ago, the Chinese tried to invent a hoe that would work better than the one they had at the moment. Their goal was to invent a hoe that would allow farmers to hoe while standing in place without hurting the plant itself. They found their answer, the swan-neck hoe. The reason that it’s called the swan-neck hoe is because the hoe above the blade was curved like the neck of a swan. That is also how the swan-neck hoe allows farmers to farm while standing in place.

  7. Iron Plowshare • A Plowshare is the main cutting blade of a plow. It digs a shallow furrow, or trench when pulled by an Ox or a Horse. Iron Plowshare was an upgrade, not an invention just like the Swan-Neck Hoe. That is because before the Iron Plowshare was invented there were Stone Plowshares. The Chinese created Iron Plowshares because the stone ones didn’t dig deep enough furrows, or trenches.

  8. Dragon-Spine Water Lift • Before the Dragon-Spine Water Lift, fetching water was a backbreaking chore, mainly done by buckets. In the fist century CE, the Chinese, invented the first Chain Pump, he Dragon-Spine Water Lift. It works by a wooden circulation chain that works the same as a bicycle. That is how it got its name.
