Regional strategies should categorize the needs and requirements of the members taking into account different stages of development be based on the list of priorities availed by the Regional Associations and incorporated in their Regional Operational Plans Regional approaches should be tailored and selected towards available resources Promote and facilitate regional planning, regional network designs, collaboration and harmonization Clear roadmaps for the regions Utilize opportunities to reach low hanging fruits ROLE of Regional Associations /Strategies 5 11th ICEED, 10 – 11 October, Tel-Aviv, Israel

ROLE of WMO MEMBERS With respect to their capabilities and needs Members should collaborate actively and give support to: • Evolve observing systems to become national component of WIGOS • Provide adequate resources to the WMO Secretariat to support WIGOS implementation • Support regional and global WIGOS implementation activities • Keep the Secretary General informed about their WIGOS implementation activities • Share relevant experience and cooperate with one another in implementing WIGOS, including assistance to Members with specific WIGOS-implementation needs 11th ICEED, 10 – 11 October, Tel-Aviv, Israel
