  5. Results of 2009 – DCST During the spring 2009 administration of the ACT for DCST: • 30,457 students successfully completed testing and received College-Reportable ACT Scores. • 110 students successfully completed testing and received State-Allowed ACT Scores. ACT, Inc. 2010

Is this a “real” ACT test? • Form is equivalent to other ACT test forms • ACT (No Writing): English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science, orACT Plus Writing: English, Mathematics, Reading, Science, and Writing • Administration must meet standard testing requirements • College Reportable scores to all colleges and universities in the US • NCAA does accept for initial-eligibility ACT, Inc. 2010

Standard Time testing staff roles • Room Supervisors • Same person all sessions • One for each room • Proctors – assists room supervisor • A proctor is required in addition to the room supervisor for every 25 examinees (or portion thereof) after the first 25. • e.g., 26-50 examinees, one proctor • Each additional 25, one more proctor • “Roving” proctor • Proctor “shifts” ACT, Inc. 2010

  20. Restriction on test preparation • No ACT test preparation activities during current year for commercial gain • Allowed only if: • Test prep is part of regular job responsibilities • Employer is not a commercial enterprise ACT, Inc. 2010

  21. Relatives participating in DCST • Test Supervisor / Back-up / TAC • Prior access, so no relatives testing in DCST • Room supervisors and proctors • Not in the same rooms • Avoids appearance of conflict of interest • Protects staff and related examinees ACT, Inc. 2010

Athletic Coaches • For Accommodated Testing – may not serve as the Test Accommodations Coordinator, if any student testing with accommodations is an athlete. • For Standard Time and Accommodations testing – may not serve as a Room Supervisor – in any one-on-one situation where student athletes are testing.
