  1. An Adventure Through Disney World

  2. The Magic Kingdom The Magic Kingdom was the first of the Disney World parks to open. It opened on October 1, 1971, with 23 attractions in six themed areas- Main Street, U.S.A. Adventureland, Liberty Square, Frontierland, Fantasyland, & Tomorrowland. The Magic Kingdom lays on 107 acres and can hold up to 100,000 people.

  3. Cinderella's Castle Cinderella’s Castle is what catches most people’s eyes as soon as they walk through the gates at Magic Kingdom, and it is also the main symbol that is used and recognized with Disney. Herbert Ryman designed Cinderella’s Castle. He used inspiration from French castles and the Cinderella movie itself. Construction for the Castle began in 1969 and took 18 months to complete. 600 tons of steel were used to build the castle and the castle is 189 ft. tall. Originally, an apartment was designed for Disney’s family but was never completed or used. Now a shop selling glass ornaments and a restaurant called Cinderella’s Royal Table are located in the Castle.

  4. Excitement Is In the Air As You Enter the Park & Walk Towards the Castle Its early in the morning and your excited to explore the Magic Kingdom. Your walking towards Cinderella’s Castle anxious along with hundreds of other people, and suddenly music sounds all around you. Mickey and Minnie Mouse along with all the Disney Princesses and their Princes, take the stage in front of the castle to dance and welcome you to the park. There is no better feeling then the excitement received from the show combined with the anxiousness and beauty from being inside the park.

  5. Rides Featured In The Magic Kingdom Splash Mountain features over 65 Audio Animatronics. There are five drops in the ride, which ends with a 40mph drop down a 5-story, 45 degree slope. The ride can run up to 54 logs at once and is 87 feet tall. Guides of the Jungle Cruise Ride in Adventureland fire off almost 631,000 rounds of ammunition per year, but they will not cause any harm because they are blanks.

  6. Rides Featured Continued Space Mountain is 183 ft. tall and runs at an average speed of 27 mph. There are two tracks, one is 10 ft. longer then the other, one being 3,186 ft. and the other being 3,196 ft. There are over 100 child- like dolls in the ride, most inspired by Disney & Pixar characters. Pirates of the Caribbean was the 1st ride in the world to make you exit directly into the gift shop and if you are going to go on the ride, take the left line because it is shorter in distance!

  7. Disney's Hollywood Studios Disney’s Hollywood Studios takes up to about 135 acres of land and in January of 2008, its name was changed from MGM Studios to what it is today, Disney’s Hollywood Studios .

  8. The Scene When Entering The Park When entering the park, an oversized Mickey Mouse hat is seen. It is in the middle of the park and is 122 ft. tall and weighs 150 tons. The hat was built in honor of Walt’s 100th birthday and underneath the hat are computers where you can read Walt Disney Trivia!

  9. Rides Featured At Hollywood Studios Tower of Terror opened on July 22, 1994 and is 199 ft tall making it the tallest Walt Disney Resort Attraction, one foot higher and they would have had to put an red flashing light on top of it for air traffic reasons. The Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster was built before the building that it is in was built. The coaster goes from 0-57 mph in 2.8 seconds and the beginning launch catapults you 200 ft. Each “limo” can hold up to 24 people and each limo has 25 speakers and 24 sub-woofers.

  10. Other Attractions There are two different scenes on this ride, a gangster scene and a gunfighter scene, and It depends on which line you go in to which scene you will experience. If you ask the employees they can tell you which line will take you to each scene. The Beauty & the Beast Show plays many times during the day and is one of the park’s most popular shows.

  11. Disney's Animal Kingdom Disney’s Animal Kingdom opened on April 22, 1998 and the park’s parking lot was closed just 20 minutes after opening because the park was at its limit of people. Looking down on the park or even looking at the map, the park is in a very similar shape to the shape of Africa. The park is the largest Disney Park in the world, it takes up 580 acres.

  12. The Tree of Life The Tree of Life is “the center piece and the icon for Disney’s Animal Kingdom”. The tree is 145 feet tall and 50 feet wide. There are 325 animals carved into the gigantic tree! Inside the tree is where the 3D show It’s Tough To Be A Bug takes place and if you look closely at all the carved animals, everyone’s favorite mouse, Mickey, is carved along with the hundreds of other animals.

  13. Kilimanjaro Safaris This is one of the Animal Kingdom’s most popular attractions! in this attraction, you are able to take a ride that is as close to an actual safari ride in Africa as you can get. The animals roam free on 100 acres of land as tours in safari vehicles roam the land. No two rides are alike and the ride gives you an amazing experience by letting you be up close and personal with many different kinds of animals!

  14. Saying Goodbye to Disney When leaving Disney world you will leave with a feeling of excitement. There is no other experience in the world like a trip through any or all of the Disney parks. It is an experience of a lifetime and Disney’s motto is 100% right in saying Disney is “Where Dreams Come True”!
