Join us for an informative session introducing Kent's new Virtual Learning Environment focused on Moodle. You will learn how to log in, navigate, and edit your courses effectively. Discover essential features such as module setup, content management, and automation through the Moodle Bridge, including module creation and enrollment processes. By the end of this session, you will be able to upload and manage files and have the skills necessary to make your courses visible to students. Additional training resources and support will also be available.

Automation in Moodle Introducing the Moodle Bridge
Moodle Bridge • Module Creation • Enrolments • Rollover
Module Creation • Data taken from SDS • Module Name • Module description (online handbook) • Enrolments • Module created in Moodle • Only completed automatically when a module has only one “delivery”
Enrolments • Students synchronised with SDS • Seminar groups synchronised with SDS • Groups created for each delivery (in merged deliveries) • Teachers synchronised with timetable system • Therefore requires timetables to be accurate • Module Convenor taken from SDS and can manually enroll teachers
Rollover • Previously a manual, time-consuming process • Copies content from an old module to a new module • Alternatively copies content between any two modules • This is your choice and managed by Mick DE001 2009/10 TU123 2007/08 DE001 2010/11 GH789 2010/11
