Environment (ENTRP):The five Priorities for 2007-2010 are (€ 450 Mio): € 14 Mio = 3% € 274 Mio = 58% € 8 Mio = 2% € 39 Mio = 8% € 115 Moi = 25% • Working upstream on MDG7 to promote environmental sustainability, • Promoting implementation of EU initiatives and internationally agreed commitments, • Improving expertise for integration and coherence, • Strengthening environmental governance and EU leadership, • Support for sustainable energy options in partner countries/regions.

Food Security: Priorities (EUR 217+ Mio for 2009) • 1) Supporting the delivery of international public goods contributing to food security through research and technology, • 2) Linking information and decision-making to improve food security response strategies, • 3) Exploiting the potential of continental and regional approaches to improve food security, • 4) Addressing food security in exceptional situations of transitions, • 5)a Promoting innovation to combat food insecurity, • 5)b Special allocations to chronically food insecure countries, • 6) Fostering advocacy and advancement of the food security agenda: Harmonisation and alignment with development partners and donors.

Food Facility: Priorities Aim: Rapid and direct response to the volatile food prices in developing countries, addressing primarily the period between emergency aid and long-term development cooperation. Primary objectives: • To encourage a positive supply response of the agricultural sector; • To support activities to respond rapidly and directly to mitigate the negative effects of volatile food prices; • To strengthen the productive capacities and the governance of the agricultural sector.
Food Facility: Country Selection and Allocation 50 countries selected, applying pre-defined criteria. Indicative Country Allocation:

Food Facility: Calls for Proposals • Open to non-profit making org., other than Int.Org. • 35 eligible countries • Two co-financing rules : 50% for MS agencies and 10% for others • Centrally managed but with full involvement of the delegations

Investing in People : 2007 - 2013 Main Specific Objectives (4 main pillars): 1.Good Health for all Health systems & Human resources crisis, Communicable & neglected diseases, Cairo Agenda (sexual and reproductive health & rights). 2. Education, knowledge and skills Education, Vocational education & training. 3. Gender equality Gender equality & women empowerment, incl. civil society’s capacity building, in addition to mainstreaming gender into the other themes. 4. Other aspects of human and social development Social cohesion, Employment & social protection, Children & youth, Culture.

Migration: Context Help 3rd countries to better manage migration flows. Being complementary to geographical programmes and other instruments, this thematic programme is primarily, not exclusively, looking at migration to the European Union. The thematic programme will notdirectly address the root causes of migration but is particularly adapted to capacity building and to encourage cooperation initiatives.
Migration: Priorities • To foster the links between migration and development, • To promote well-managed labour migration, • To fight illegal immigration, and facilitate re-admission of illegal immigrants, • To protect migrants against exploitation and exclusion and support the fight against trafficking in human beings, • To promote asylum, international protection and the protection of stateless persons.
Migration: Overview 2009 AAP Special Measures: € 5 000 000 If no urgent unforeseen crisis or needs have been identified by the end of October 2009, this amount will be added to the overall budget of the calls for proposals
