  7. Pre-Professional Advising ISU does not have a “pre-med” major. We offer a preparatory plan of study for admission to graduate level health programs. Students meet with ISU’s Pre-Professional Advisor in addition to their regularly assigned University College or Department/School Advisor.

  10. Common Misperceptions • Most new students assume that what worked before will work in college • Many new students do not know where to go for help or how to ask for help • Some new students feel ashamed about seeking assistance • Many new students wait until it is too late

Most general education and entry level courses have a large lecture format I’ll be in a small class I will only need to study about 10 hours or less a week for my classes We have found that our most successful students study 2-3 hours outside of class for every hour they are in class If you wait until you think you need it, it may be too late I don’t need help
