  1. When a key employee, manager or executive leaves your organization, what else is leaving with them? Audrey Bloom audrey@dulyknowted.com 702.341.9930

  2. People Customers Outside Resources and Contacts Suppliers Facilities and Equipment Schedules and Events Skills Sets/Expertise Opportunities and Markets Affiliates and Partners Products and Work Processes Experiences Procedures Policies Technology , Tools and Applications Any organizational universe contains many moving parts, constantly circulating. The most mobile part is—people.

  3. People leave.. their organizations every day, or move from one desk to another. People move up, move over, move out,or move on as they are promoted, transferred, change jobs, or retire.

  4. Usually when people leave—their skills, knowledge, insights, and learning experiences—leave with them, without being shared or well documented. Organizational knowledge isn’t “captured” very often— for a variety of reasons. People tend to think it’s… too fuzzy or no longer needed too big or too disorganized intrusive to capture not worth the time to organize A business owner or manager might want to collect this information, but not know where to begin, how to proceed, or where to stop. Or, they might not think to make the attempt.

  5. And, it’s not just knowledge and information that goes away. When people leave, so do their networks. The organization will likely lose its connections with a unique, high value network of contacts, talent, and resources. Without its hub—the person leaving—a network fractures or dissolves.

  6. CUSTOMER PREFERENCES BEST TOOLS PROCESSES SCHEDULES PROJECT NOTES KEY DOCUMENTS Surprise! It’s not only the “big stuff” that’s worth capturing. Good information, insights and knowledge can be transferred in smaller chunks, knowledge dots, information bullets, pivot points, tipping points and best tips. Are the dots worth Collecting? Organizing? Connecting? Most definitely!

  7. Just one dot can… Save a customer or find a new one… Fill a crack to prevent key information from falling through… Be the Point B that connects Point A to Point C… Point to a major opportunity… Keep a deadline from being missed… Improve a key process… Spark an idea… If one dot can do these things, imagine what a collection of nicely organized dots might accomplish? Now there’s a tool to help.

  8. Duly Knowted™ is an online process and tool… …that your departing employee—acontributor—uses to gather and organize high value, timely information and insights. Then, Duly Knowted formats the information to make it distributable and useable to a variety of users. Duly Knowted adds structure, interest, engagement, and efficiency to the knowledge capture process.

  9. Duly Knowted™ keeps the knowledge capture process—practical and well-defined. Duly Knowted lines up the dots, then points them in the direction of their highest and best use. While Duly Knowted cannot capture everything or everyone someone knows— with a departing employee who is willing and open to sharing, it protects and organizes good information and network assets. Perhaps, previously undiscovered or unconnected assets!
